What's changed

What's changed

Welcome back! As you know, our world is not the same. We have new normals, new procedures, and new expectations. Our reopening date is Monday, May 25, however we will start booking appointments today, May 22. Our new hours of operations are Monday through Saturday 11:00am-7:00pm , Sundays 11:00 am-6:00pm. Because we are working at 50% capacity, not all stylists will be available on May 25th. We can offer you more details when you call to book your appointment. Clarise, our esthetician will be booking services in phase 2 of the Alberta Relaunch Program; her date of return is still unknown.

The steps we are asking you, as our guests, to take are listed below. Please take the time to read them carefully so you can understand our expectations, and therefore successfully attend your appointment. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us and we will be more than happy to answer questions.

1. We are asking you to book your appointment by phone. Our online booking system has temporarily been suspended. However, if you would prefer to request an appointment via email, we will be sure to reply to you in a timely manner.

2. When you call, you will be asked a series of questions. This will ensure the safety of all other guests and our staff.

Do you have any of the below symptoms?

  •    fever (greater than 38.0 C)
  •    cough
  •    shortness of breath/difficulty breathing
  •    sore throat
  •    runny nose

Have you, or anyone in your household travelled outside of Canada in the last 14 days?

Have you, or anyone in your household been in contact in the last 14 days with someone who is being investigated or confirmed to be a case of COVID-19?

Are you currently being investigated as a suspect case of COVID-19?

Have you tested positive for COVID-19 within the last 10 days?

Do you understand that Alberta Health Services has asked individuals to maintain physical distancing of at least 2 metres (6 feet) and it is not possible to maintain this distance while receiving hair services?

This same questionnaire will be handed to you upon arrival to your appointment.

If any of your answers to the questionnaire change before your appointment date, please contact the salon immediately.

* Please note our staff members will also complete this questionnaire before each shift. *

3. When you arrive at Market Mall, please remain in your vehicle and call (403) 247-2500 to let us know you've arrived. We may then call you back when your stylist is ready. If you cannot call us from your car, please arrive at our front desk to check in. You may be asked to wait in the hallway until your stylist is ready.

4. Please limit what you bring with you into the salon. Handbags, wallets, keys and cell phones will be accepted. Shopping bags and jackets must be left in your vehicles.

5. No visitors are allowed with you during your appointment to comply with the capacity requirements of our salon (less than 15 people at once). If a child (12 & under) is coming in for an appointment, 1 parent/guardian may accompany them.

6. We ask that everyone uses the provided hand sanitizer upon entering the salon. After using the washroom, thorough hand washing is necessary. Touchless hand sanitizer is also available outside our washrooms.

7. All our staff will be required to wear appropriate PPE to ensure everyone's safety. All guests will be required to wear a mask (if you prefer to wear your own, please ensure it loops around your ears). A clean cape will be provided (as per usual), but our change room will be closed. Dressing down for the occasion is emphasized. Please avoid collared shirts; a t-shirt works best.

8. As masks cannot be worn during hair washing (they lose all effectiveness if wet), we would ask that you refrain from conversation when your mask is not on. We know this may be difficult, but it is for all of our safety.

9. Magazines, coffee, and tea will not be available. Water in disposable cups will be served upon request.

10. If you wish to purchase any products, please ask your stylist for assistance. This will limit the amount of people touching product, and keep our salon safe. No returns will be accepted at this time.

11. Rebooking future appointments will happen during your chemical service's processing time. Your stylist will be happy to help you plan your next visit.

12. Curbside pickup will stay available for all clients who prefer not to come into the salon to purchase their products. Please email us at info@dolce-salon.ca to place your order!

Despite all of these changes, please know that we are happy and excited to see you all again! Great care and attention has always been our first priority, and, at this time, it is our mission to keep our standards high. We hope you will support us in piloting these new changes.

Kindly,

The Team at Dolce Salon.
